Sol; What Is It? Poem by cheryl davis miller

Sol; What Is It?

This morn I awoke and did find
a sight that truly blows my mind.
I'm finding it hard to convey
exactly what I've seen today.

So with few words now I will try
to tell what I see in the sky.
Oh I don't know I think it's round;
it does not seem to make a sound.

It kind of has a yellow glow
what it is called I do not know.
I note there seems to be more light
it seems more birds have taken flight.

And ice is dripping from the tree.
Hey!
I swear I heard a bumble bee.

I think from far off memory
a word is coming back to me.
OK, I'm only having fun
I know, I know it is the Sun.
