So What Would You Do If You Had A Brain? ? Poem by Arthor Journer

So What Would You Do If You Had A Brain? ?

A lone scholar drawing on the walls
A son of learned periodicals
Intellectual armed marines
Landing on the beach with magazines
During dark hours patrol underground
Take no prisoners without shooting a round
Excelling to bow to the dean’s pleases
Grades that rival a doctorate thesis
So what would you do if you had a brain?
Would you give to the poor and be declared insane?
Would you balance your decisions on the edge of knife?
Or take up your sword though it may slice your own life?
So what would you do if you had a brain?
Would you take up your cross or use it as a cane?
Would you use your hands to heal or harm?
Or would you slice them from the end of your arm?
Now a son of an artisan making his craft with such skill
A lone apprentice whose art becomes his will
Peace loving citizens fighting to protest
Marching on the side walks of a war contest
During their brigade of words
Taking no prisoners death by their swords
Pleasing the media and the writers
Pictures that mentally arose the inciters
What would you do if you had a brain?
Would you wave the banner of peace and be detained?
Would you balance your life on the pages of the laws?
Or lift your fists in fury against or for the cause?
So what would you do if you had a brain?
Would you allow the tv to alter or to stain?
Would you be moved by the things you see?
Or would you stand firm on the truth that you believe?
So what would you do if you had a brain?
