So Bitter It Bites Poem by Awasum Terrence

So Bitter It Bites

what's the world turning into?
hell, i don't have a clue!
its like a thousand miles without shoes
bleed hard, dwindle or die
just beat the record
suicide is sane as long as you brand it
preach hate in religion
those words are anointed and you are a saint
you read it, live it and think you are safe
wait till divine verdicts
u might think me insane
that's pretty good, ironic
just like in God we trust
send them to war, blood never stain
and the God we trust 'thous shall not kill'
politics and religion comically
mama's tears flow from sources of pain
religion is a fiction and that's for real
hell what do i know!

its so bitter it bites
living anonymous under the light
kids living with the stain of pain
a million miles of human right and freedom trampled upon
we've become so unknown to what is sane
we say color is only skin deep
yet cultures are founded on oppression
that's the kind of love we spread
the world is a bunch of mistakes
if being gay is straight, so too should racism
i learned something from the preachers of today
salvation has a tag of gold
i guess God is Gates or Carlos
Whatever!
i think its about time we raised the dust
because i see the skies all dark
and Armageddon creeping
there can never be peace until we lifts up the streets
hell, what do i know
