Snow Poem by David Harris

Snow

Rating: 5.0

I woke up this morning
looked out my window
and my heart was aglow.
Out there, everywhere
a blanket of white lay on the ground.
Memories trickled through my mind
of a distant place and time long ago.
When every winter we would see snow.
Now as I have grown older
and my life is in a different world
snow is a rare occurrence
at least where I live.
The snow that comes
only last for a few hours,
so when it come it makes me smile
from ear to ear
and I rejoice in a bit of frozen cheer.
