Slipping Away Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Slipping Away

Rating: 5.0

I keep hoping for a chance
but my hope is wearing thin.
Time is slipping away
Please just let me in.

I wish I could be close to you
instead of feeling so far away.
You mean so much to me
But I cannot beg you to stay.

Perhaps if I fought harder
I would not have wasted all these years.
We could have been together
But now I am left here with my fears.

I wish you all the best
But I know what I have to do.
Time is slipping away
And yet so are you.
