Sleep, Baby, Sleep Poem by Mark Nichols

Sleep, Baby, Sleep

By Mark Nichols [Thanks to Bob McAllister & Mother Goose]

Sleep, Baby, sleep
Your father guards the sheep
Your mother rocks the dreamland tree
Sleep, Baby, sleep

Ah....

Even in the wind, even in the dark
Even when you're raw, even when you're cold
Even when you cheat, even when you're high
Even when you're lost, even when you're old

Even when you're gone, even when you're bad
Even when you're two-faced, even when you're tired
Even when you're sour, even in decay
Even when you melt, even when you're fired

Even in the wind, even in the dark
Even when you're raw, even when you're cold
Even when you cheat, even when you're high
Even when you're lost, even when you're old
