Sleep Poem by Juan Olivarez

Sleep

Sleep without dreams, is peaceful sleep,
To lie as if dead for hours on end.
A tired body ready to reap,
The reward for work, and try to mend.

To lay so peacefully all night long,
With nothing to disturb your sleep.
And wake in the morning singing a song,
And you had no need of counting sheep.
