Six feet under.
Buried beneath loosened sand.
It's cold.
Clammy hands clasped together
across their solid chest.
Their skin granite to the touch.
Blurred faces watch
as the casket is buried.
Tears stream down their faces.
Hands held close to their heart
as though in agony.
It's over. Completely over.
Six feet under
and you're gone.
