Sitting Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Sitting

Rating: 5.0

I sit
inside
me.

close the doors
of my mind.

Outside
it is raining

in the window pane

rain tries to talk to me
but I don’t listen.

I sit inside my mind.

You leave behind you
...me

hopeless
with emptiness.

Windows...for looking out, or for keeping the world at bay...either way...we are enclosed in our own personal minds, no one there but us! No way we can be anything BUT alone...unless, of course, we let someone in! ! Talk about love, and intimitacy?
