Siren Song Poem by Dr. Madan Gandhi

Siren Song

Sea nymphs sing siren song the sailors to lure
the song transfixes them on the shore
until they die, so is every man’s predicament

What if an Odysseus may manage
to tie himself to a mast
and plug ears with wax

Still passing the enchanted isles
none may escape hearing the song
impeling him to break free the bonds

Man-made chains one my break
but no one can break asunder
those forged by Time or destiny.
