Sips Of Life Poem by Louie Levy

Sips Of Life

I remember when... there were times of the past,
remembering thoughts of memories,
I wished would last

Lovers and loved ones, joys and despair
youths foolish squabbles, a time
for playing marbles

Wondering with fear, when death would
be near, obliterated thought emotions distraught...

A secret discovered, one easily uncovered
an immortality of life, lies within a heart of love,
as when young we begin

Youth fountain's water are sweet
forbidden fruit, for those who seek
soulful sips, from youthful lips,
transcending through an eternity...

Pretending, recapturing
grasping, re-birthing...

'Our prayers never ending'
