Silent Poem by Teddy Wirunda

Silent

I've spent some time looking at your photos
And you're just there,
so so silent, just looking at me
or at something far far away.
with eyes watery and heart racing,
I yearn to see you and hear from you,
and talk to you,
Just to let you know
how far you are from me.
But you're silent,
Not uttering a single word
Just there.

I've since sought the help of my phone
and in written I've tried to reach you.
Hitting endlessly against my screen,
Tears rolling, my heart aching
And fine fingers raking my hair,
Am left desperate, quite, lonely
Missing you.
For great is the desire
to hear from you.
