Silence: A Blessing Poem by Vinita Nahata

Silence: A Blessing

Rating: 5.0

They say that the sound is silver and the silence is gold;

Silence speaks louder than words!

Silence is sea; sound is shore,

Whatever the sea includes; will hit the shore!

Silence is the dearth of sound;

Yet it is so profound,

Silence is a conversation;

Silence is an expression,

Silence is the sound of rest;

The only sound that can sound the best,

Silence is what the ‘silence' is;

Something that emerge from nothing,

Thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence;

Very eternity comes out of silence,

The deepest feelings are always shown in silence;

There's no need of sound and violence,

My Almighty, I implore Thou in silence;

My hands, I fold to pray in silence,

With Thou, I interact in silence,

To Thou, I capitulate my soul in silence,

Silence is a salve for the tired soul,

And appease the soul to make it whole,

When sound of language causes pain,

Sound of silence is not to be blamed,

Silence is what the ‘silence' is;

Something that is nothing that exists!

Silence is indeed a blessing in disguise;

One day, I know this silence shall be mine!
