Sign Reads, "Left, Not Coming Back". Poem by Sandra Feldman

Sign Reads, "Left, Not Coming Back".

Rating: 5.0

To have died
Before dying,
From a distant litany
A persistent, song of songs
Of impossibilities!
Is like having died
A hundred times over,
Each day becomes
A hideous burden,
Difficult, to get over
Solitude, unwanted chambers
Of isolated sadness,
Repeated over and over again
Where nothing makes any sense,
Because all is gone, anyway
As the evening sun slowly sinks
Into a sea of desperation,
Black waters, asphyxiation
Where all dream have become
Undone,
And Sanity is on the run.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Our times, very sad times where insanity seems to prevail over sanity. I don't recognize this country, anymore. It is as if all Hell has broken lose and will eventually take over...

We are truly living in desperate times. Faith in God can turn things around. We shall have peace of mind despite these perilous days. Well written opus.....10++

Times have indeed changed, haven't they? Insanity prevails. Love the first line about dying before dying.
