Sighs And Whatevers Poem by Cheyenne Rhon

Sighs And Whatevers

There is a meaning somewhere,
Behind those sighs and whatevers,
Unintentional cold exteriors,
Who blankly stare sideways,
Going limp as their energy slips,
Enclosing their presence in a time...
Where productive days began at noon,
Skateboarding to class in vans was cool.
We lived where brick buildings blend,
Into over priced coffee drinks,
And pages of typed, rushed essays,
Created with ample laughter at 1 a.m.
exchanging vibes of young potential.
Reminiscence dwells in mature eyes,
Blinking twice they come alive,
And continue on with their work day.
