Shut off,
Locked inside,
Doors blocked,
Windows covered,
Darkness is all I see,

Fighting against the pain,
Fighting to stay up right,
Mindless games,
Hurtful words,

Say it isn't me,
Say that the tears aren't real,
Say it will get better,

Nightmares rage,
Fear begins to suffocate me,
Causing me to tremble,

Shut off,
Locked inside,
Doors blocked,
Windows covered,
