Being confined in cage
Sheltered and catered
Fed, watered, fatted
We are only done for
Show-piece for Thanksgiving
We are grilled in oven
Blistering hot as hell
In our own dripping fat,
For others not for us
Show-piece for Thanksgiving
We are non, but turkey
To be knifed and forked
Bit upon, chewed, and slurped
Till reduced to bare bones
