Should I Care? Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Should I Care?

The comments that I do receive,
Sometimes are beyond belief,
For my Poems posted here and there,
But why should I even care?

But care I do, as we all do,
My fellow Poets who do write
A poem each day, and sometimes more,
To receive from Fellows a brief encore.

Yesterday I wrote a poem thus ~
The comment on which was beyond belief,
Entitled “Sixty – Two” the poem was,
The Reviewer must have been asleep.

For he did think it was my Birthday,
Why did he suppose it was that day?
His Review of Birthday wishes in song,
Proved to all that he’d got it wrong.

So Fellow Poets, when Reviews you write,
Please do not suppose that you know it all,
Give the Poet room to express his thoughts,
Lest your Review means just nought.
