Short Vacation Poem by Autumn Keele

Short Vacation

Riding in your truck.
you were by my side,
and as every sign and car passed,
the more i realized...
Laying on the couch my head on your chest,
your heart beating, but not as hard as mine,
Inside of my hand is where yours rest.
And the truth is waht im starting to find,
laying in bed and holding you through the night,
my body against yours, were pressed together tight.
My heartbeat matches up with yours and everything is right.
It was such a perfect night.
And the morning comes and your still there,
but deep down i know that it isn't fair.
I hurt you, but yet, there you are
and this is what i wished for every 11: 11, and every shooting star.
Your innocense show as you lay there real still,
and it is because of me that your heart needed to heal.
The guilt tears me up from inside out,
but i know know its you that i can not live without.
And somehow you have forgiven me so easily,
So now i just want to prove myself and show you what i can be.
