Shores After Shores Poem by Neelam Dadhwal

Shores After Shores

A continuous quest is this life
I cannot claim yet I find shores after shores
which land am I inhabitant of
from pure bondage of humankind
I sprain not my heart to strange and unkind.

I recline as I have learnt
magic, prayers, mystic, love and miracle
have I heard you say
the trouble tale of unknown
and over tinder fire guise away
our own worries and fears.

This is not the time because
we faced each other like
polar opposites at equator
leaving where we know only of heat
burning us away, charring
and at random our subservience
will pay off.
