She Was Right Poem by Ray Hansell

She Was Right

Rating: 4.0

When I'm feeling lonely
A little down and out
I have you to lean on
To help erase all doubt

You will always listen
To all I have to say
You never let anything
Ever get in our way

You let me have my say
Until my rant is done
That is when you tell me
I don't listen to anyone

I begin to protest
But you put up your hand
That is when you tell me
To act more like a man

You say, you are a grown up
So, start acting like one
Listen to other people
Before you jump the gun

That's when I admitted
She probably was right
I said, I'll try to do better
As she said to me good night
