She Ruined Everything. Poem by Emily Reid

After all I’ve been through these past couple years you still don’t notice me.
You know I’m there but it’s like you cant see the real me.
Then little Ms. Perfect came along and won your heart.
I really thought she knew how much you meant to me.
Then you broke her heart and she came crawling back to me.
Time went by and she said she had forgotten you and no longer cared.
That’s all different now, she couldn’t let go, just like I can’t.
You’ll never know how much I’ve always wanted you.
She’ll never know how much pain she’s caused me.
The only freedom I can find is when I cause myself pain.
Through the blood and tears, I find my light.
I wish you just could realize for one second..
That for the past 2 years I’ve loved you.
It doesn’t seem like I can stop loving you.
And all I want is for you to love me to.
