She Lived In Currents Offshore Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

She Lived In Currents Offshore

Rating: 0.5

She told me her name was Medusa, a mermaid true,
who lived with her finny clan in currents offshore.

'We sing and swim among azure sea-flowers,
wearing necklaces of seaweed and coral-
long lazy sea-green days blossom into blue
as bruises nights amid languid pastels! '

That's all she sang to me that night-
I swear by almighty Poseidon!
