She Fell Poem by Phil Soar

She Fell

Rating: 3.3

Tossed aside like something from a novel
She left the place where love once ruled it all
And turned her back on her disfranchised hovel
Broken and bewildered she would fall

For years her depth of feeling had been constant
But then behaving strangely, he was distant
So all that there was left was hate and friction
And words that once were loving, are now fiction

Her fall was overwhelming and she worried
How would her world return to being sane
Her life was left in tatters and now hurried
She rode the shades of grey, that turned quite pale

And yet when time had silenced all her doubting
She found a path to somewhere warm and new
And love returned like water to a fountain
And once again she loved and her heart grew
