Shall We Remain Always Enemies Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Shall We Remain Always Enemies

Rating: 5.0

I saw the traditional rivals are friends,
Enmity how much deep at last ends,
Lived together for a number of centuries,
Ugly politics of the two beautiful countries,
Still it depends upon hating each other,
Two sisters, my mother and your mother,
Loved together a common nice culture,
Fought together for a common venture,
Who are helpless, people or the politicians?
A politician is inhuman but people are humans,
Alas! We all are helpless as we are illiterates,
We can't write so how can we rewrite the fates!

Between the two neighbors the love and relationship always exists. No matter what, it continues but shame of politicians who always exploit the innocent people by keeping them away by creating rift and spreading hatred. Yes we are helpless and victims at the same time. No matter what we do the situation will remain status quo. Let us hope better sense will prevail some day. A thoughtful poem.

That's a very thoughtful and poignant write. Most of the problems at international level are man-made. We have seen some of the biggest problems being resolved during the last couple of decades by negotiating across the table for peace and prosperity of the regions concerned. Thanks for the poem.

Very true words Sir. We are illiterates so we just keep following not knowing what is right and wrong. We need to follow our own vibes which we fail to do. How can we write our faite when we don't know to write. Beautiful poetry giving importance to be self sufficient and know oneself. Thank-you sir.

A perceptive, touching, poignant and incisive write. Politicians who have no heart shape their country and mold their people to a never ending hate. Yes, people are helpless who are just swayed by the tides of selfish politicians. We are all brothers and sisters. Barriers in all its forms must be abhorred. I concur with the wonderful comments of Poet Khairul Ahsan. Brilliantly penned as always, Sir Akhtar. Your pen could wake up people in deep sleep. Five Stars!

A poignant poem. Peace will prevail when humans would be able to traverse this earth without any frontiers, so without any passport or visa, like birds. Among all species, humans are the most ferocious to each other, when interests clash.
