September Poem by Brianna Herman.

September

I felt the coldness in my fingertips
from that very day you touched my lips
on the brightside, I was broken only a tiny bit
after you left, that fire inside was lit
Its only september, yet there's snow in my driveway
And somehow, I'm happy, in every which way
I don't need your kiss, you keep me alive
Sure somedays, I still strive
But I'm no longer in pain
Thats what matters right? Even if all our time was wasted in vain
When I see you, I still shake from my head to my toes
But i'm happy, your not the cause of these woes
