Sentient Ecosystems Exist In Balance Poem by Terence George Craddock

Sentient Ecosystems Exist In Balance

Rating: 5.0

there is a danger in dismissing the rights
of animals to live free in wild places
there is a danger in dismissing the rights
of animals to life in free rein survival habitats
there is a danger in dismissing the rights
of sentient ecosystems to exist in balance
there is a danger in dismissing the rights
of animals to exist in rain forest earth lungs

a danger in fear distain way we view predators
the way we villainize label view animals like wolves
when all forests are cut down can we breathe dust
earth is weeping ice caps glaciers into salt oceans
earth chokes on poisonous pollutants man made
humanity risks danger species extinct in fossil record

Great poem, you are right, Earth's ecosystems are finely balanced. In my country inorganic pesticides like glyphosate has decimated the insect population by 60% in 40 years, this includes pollinators. What happens when we lose all the bees, as we are doing? ?
