Senses Of Nothingness Poem by D.A. Woods

Senses Of Nothingness

I don't wish for my children to grow up like me.
Reflecting lifes mocking disease,
Is a wasting disease.

Now I can't sleep anymore.
I can not even close my eyes because I've a sullen heart and that phrase keeps on repeating in my head.
It is relentless.
I can't fight this war anymore.
Here is my flag.

Time to surrender and move on?
Face the firing squad or keep going on alone?
Go home alone and keep struggling?
My unhappy mantra is:
you are all alone and face the guns.

Take this as an anthem for a lost cause from a lost soul.
