Senior Glimpse Poem by Daniel Miltz

Senior Glimpse

My senior citizens, to you I write
I love the way you walking and laughing
Invading your minds day and through the night
Always dreaming about the friends gaffing

Let me compare you to an observer
You are more cribbage, bingo and knitting
Smooth winds shake the leafage of September
And autumntime has the gorgeous sitting

How do I see you? Let me count the ways
Treasuring your day, talking, amusing
Reminisc'ng of your playing games fills days
Joy for you all is the blazing knocking

Beloved senior friends with fitting heart
Remember my fast words whilst we're apart
