Selfish Lust

my love for you is vast enough
to include all the colors of love
though it is not without shades of sadness.
Such blind and excessive love,
though it gives birth
to some letters of great poetry,
remains among one of my
sharpest expressions of self interest.
It is pitiful this selfish lust I have for you.
