Just the other day I was persuaded
To join Thy compassionate way!
With Thy blessings

Not too long ago, however
I was drifting along
Rolling on by my ignorant ‘I'
Relying on my budding intellect
Always desiring things,
Whether right or wrong
Singing some egocentric song
While dancing along
Laughing and crying
To survive somehow in the end

But Lord, Thou forever endure me
By Thy compassionate way!
Always pleading my worried ‘I'
To join Thy song
Pointing to Thy compassionate Way
Thus, won my tiny "ego-I" in the end!
