See Me Not Again! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Don't come and look at me
and open the sluice of my eyes!
I have no more tears to shed
as the springoflove has gone dry.
When you went off my sight,
there was in my mind an incessant fight
between the thougts to meet you again
and the thoughts to hate and forget you.

When I walked dull with no energy
On my return from the berg in Tibet,
not knowing who I was, you smiled at me
and fired me up to be quick
in walking and thinking, and scribble
strains of beauty and gaiety.
But once we got close to share
Our joys and sorrows met in life
You, the singing bird left the grove
leaving me to moan and roam
with a hefty load of grief.

If you have been swept away from me
by some family ethos or ties,
I will keep you in my heart
and adore youas some awesome goddess.
Or not, like a common human of the street,
You please recede from my Heart
Slowly, step by step without an alarm.
