Season Of Harvest Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

Season Of Harvest

Rating: 5.0

This land subjected to purgation
And by His word and His decree
There was neither dew nor rain
The land made dry and barren
The soil scourged and hardened
The tars and weeds to deny life
And every distraction to wilt him
But the Lord sustained His child
And He never left him desolate
Nor his basic needs unattended
He made him resilient as a cactus
And allowed the wilding to starve
And all the infections expurgated
And now the third year has passed
And ‘tis the dawn of the fourth
And now primed for rain and dew
For a land humus and soil mulched
The season of plowing has come
The time of planting has begun
The year of harvest has arrived
