School...The Torture Poem by Kid of Los Angeles

School...The Torture

Rating: 5.0

It ruined my life. School.
A torture chamber in the form of a box.
Little ants of different colors scatter about within.
They drag you down like little leaches on the social ladder.
Life. Drains the life out of you.
Happiness is only a gray veil.
A gray veil of deep perception and an emotional lobotomy.
The concept scares many, yet there’s a population that welcomes of it.
A drain of emotional, sin with satire.
A ringleader of determination to drag you.
Make or break you.
The most immature years.
Yet, expectant of the venomous snake of decision.
A princesses hall waits with the death of the right frog.
Each day becomes darker and darker.
Each day the clouds become a claustrophobic blanket.
The sun, a harrowing ball of fury, and a reminder.
That another day is meant to be lived by thee.

When you look down,
your laces become snakes that tighten
their grasp around your life’s veins until you
can’t grow anymore.

Your friends, familiar faces that melt into motion,
Burning candles as each laboring day wears by.
Every breath, tightening and regretful.
Every thought, emotions that are encaged, yet free unto the right incorrect path.
Your clothes grow tighter, a skin that your snake cannot shed.
Beauty is no longer an exquisite rose, but a leaf in a bushel of thorns.
Blood circulates uncontrollably, and inevitably.
The grass underfoot isn’t felt as a beautiful creation of life, but as an inevitable reoccurrence.
No randomness or anonymity.
Time steadily, slowly flying

In order to try men’s souls,
souls need to be born onto men.
