School Days Poem by Mary Rodriguez

School Days

Rating: 5.0

It's time for the kids to return to school
Kids may feel stressed but the parents are thinking cool
As he gets older the more he resembles you
An amazing smile, eyes and so charming too
She's slender, funny and beautiful as can be
I can't believe she's now taller than me
They're so thankful for all that you do
You're an amazing mother; they sure do love you
You make sure they are happy and have all they need
You've given them the tools they need to succeed
He's the King of elementary school this year
She's new to high school and may be feeling some fear
Another year of college; he's finding his way
My heart swells with pride for each of them everyday
It's back to busy schedules, projects and tests
I know they'll work hard and do their best
I can't wait to follow their accomplishments
this year
I'll support and cheer for them; I'm always here
I cherish every photo as I watch them grow
I love them more than they'll ever know
My love is something that'll always be
Thank you for sharing your angels with me
