Scarface Poem by Timmy Curran

Scarface

No, not today, no need
to see the charred, chopped
up face, it´s only today,
forgive me Scarface, not in
the mood to hear your
whacked up and cracked out
musings of the sun and the moon
Leave me in the peace
of my shaded retreat,
let me ponder the words
of a junkie like you,
whenever I please and
not when you want me to
I don´t want to offend,
the truth is you´re one
of my only two friends
Any other day, your mangled
face has a way, of lifting
my spirits, when my hope
fades away, but I can´t
take it right now, solace
is the only way how, I
can shake what´s inside
Tomorrow is another day
