Scar Poem by Alexis Monarez

Scar

Rating: 3.5

I have proof through my scars,
I have scars to tell stories,
Each cut I had cried,
Mostly in worry,
My eyes are red and watery,
At the sight of all the blood,
I keep running from my fears,
But in the end I slip in mud,
My heart is breaking,
My spirit is down,
Remember the lake,
I said I wanted to drown,
Well I still do,
Deep down inside,
But I try to remember,
I have you by my side.
