Saving My Angel Poem by mollie myers

Saving My Angel

Her blue eyes sparkled
Even through her fears
I looked down upon her
I had to save her
I've loved her all these years

I swooped down from above
Crashing through the glass
Knocked the villain down
while tumbling through the wind
Another man tried to spray me with noxious gas

I swerved
Just making it out of the way
I ran toward my angel
With all the courage I could muster
I knew I had to save the day

I made it to her beautiful face
I untied her and picked her up
Pulled her into my arms
Suddenly she was left and I was right
I was more confused than a newborn pup

Then I saw him
The intruder on our reunion
It was her original captor
He had her in his arms
In front of me was his minion

He kicked her down
Blood falling from her face
Then he and his friend came to me
It was two to one
This was not a fair race

They attacked
They were thorough
I blacked out, never to see the light again
What happened to my love
I shall never know
