Savage Sun Poem by Val Brooklyn Rogers

Savage Sun

The glaring sneering Sun has
beat me down to the Pavement.
The hot the HEAT
the flaring has won.
The violent engagement beastly
perspiration beseigement.

Beaming steaming gleaming.
Dazed AMAZED seeking shade
from deathly rays.
Prone to bemoan the scorching
phase of days
Of unfalling RAIN.

Nick named smoked and turned,
fire starter Sun
Churned and burned.
