Satan's Prayer. Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Satan's Prayer.

Rating: 4.8

Once Satan built a Synagogue.
He wanted to pray
with lifted hands and noble words.
With beads on his lips he prayed.
But there was no inner melody in him.
And the angels could not hear him.

A poor little child
from the poorest village
lifted its eyes and sighed.
Its inner melody
sounded and resounded
in the mighty heavens all over.

But there was no inner melody in him. Its inner melody sounded and resounded in the mighty heavens all over. I've come across these two types of people, those who claim to follow God, yet their hearts are devoid of empathy and love and those who don't brag about their closeness to God but their hearts tell the loving story.

contrast between satan's prayer and the prayer of the little poor and innocent child. innocence of the heart and prayer. a good theme indeed.
