Samuel And May (Revised From: Hansel And Gretel)

Samuel and May
(Revised from Hansel and Gretel)

There once lived a woodcutter,
Along the woods with his wife,
They couldn’t live any better,
And he only made miserable his children’s life,

With so much misery,
The woodcutter unfold this story,
He sent two precious gems to exile in the woods,
And they are Samuel and May,

Along the woods they ventured,
With creepy little crickets sounds,
Still they didn’t gave up on their adventure,
They made a route with bread crumbs,

The woodcutter heartlessly left them,
He didn’t even care if he loved them,
Now Samuel and May were left alone,
Alone where no one could find them,

“Samuel, will we ever find our way back home? ”
“Yes May, Just follow the bread crumbs and we’ll be home.”
“But it is too dark Samuel, we might be lost forever if we continue.”
“We might get lost, let’s take some rest and wait for the rays of the sun and we’ll find our way home.”

The two slept in the woods for a night,
Starving, chilling along the cold biting night,
May dreamed of a house made out of cookies,
While Samuel thought deeply why their dad did such a dreadful thing.

The sun brightly shined upon the two,
Unfortunately both with a heavy heart,
Neither would want to believe that this is true,
Neither would want to be apart,

They continued their journey back home,
May was amazed of what she saw,
Candies, cookies and lots more! Built as someone’s home,
They know it’s rude to eat someone’s house, but they drool over what they saw,

Neither of them resisted,
They both went and took some of the food and ate their breakfast,
What can you expect from two kids unfed?

“Welcome, my little darlings! ”
An old woman came out of the door and cursed Samuel and May,
Fortunately, the fairest light shone upon the Samuel and May,
This saved the two from becoming snails and slugs,

“Thank you! ” May said,
“It’s nothing, for my heartless evil sister will cast a curse on anyone with no hesitation”
“We really owe you ma’am” Samuel said in disbelief,
“I’m happy that I get a chance to see two kids who love their parents like this.”

“We wanted to go home but—” Samuel said,
“Don’t worry nothing is impossible with two forgiving hearts,
Just picture the place where you feel the greatest joy in your hearts,
In one, two, three you will never be apart! ”

Samuel and May opened their eyes,
Surprisingly they’re already in their house,
Their Mom cried and unfortunately their dad just died,
They didn’t even get to tell him that they love him before he died.
