Salutations Jinnah Poem by Ehsan Iqbal

Salutations Jinnah

Freedom he strove for and freedom he would gain
Like the sun shining after an era of rain
We are his legacy and he is our legend
The greatest of leaders amongst the greatest of men

The infidels he stood against and the infidels he fought
Peace and freedom for us, he forever sought
Through devotion, dedication he became our voice
Every mother, every father and child's choice

Salutations, Jinnah, to you and your crusade
For us and for our freedom you forever prayed
Though seeing your legacy as such you would be upset
But what you gained then, you shall never regret

Rise, Nation, and serve the purpose for which you were freed
You, only you are able to plant such a seed
Forget all else, and return to your creed
Unite, unite, unite, together we shall succeed.
