Saga Of Mankind Poem by Ajit Das

Saga Of Mankind

What is the voice of humanity?
Is it shaped, modulated only by one faith
or by a confluence of faiths?
Is God perceived in a particular way
that strikes against the unbelievers,
even if they are weak, defenceless?

The benevolence of God radiates
through a multi-hued prism,
drenching all with the same light.
Those who live together for centuries,
bonded by tolerance and peace,
sing the harmony of one humanity.
