Sad Goodbyes Poem by Kevin Seales

Sad Goodbyes

We are the class of two thousand seventeen
The class that the world is waiting for
We're smarter, brighter than you've ever seen
Just wait until we walk through your door.

The things that we learned here at our school
Are way beyond our wildest dreams,
And everything you've taught us, we will use
To do the dirty work, and still stay clean.

Our teachers all tell us, 'Be all you can be.'
Your future is out there if you take it
If only the future we could all see
To know if we all will make it.

Some will be doctors and maybe a lawyer
And some will get rich on the internet
Some may be adventurous, like young Tom Sawyer
Or maybe a super hero, better yet.

But of all the things we will do in life
We know how to play by the rules
Cause we learned from the best to always think twice
Right here at Jefferson school.

So thanks to everyone who made an impact
On how we live the rest of our lives
We will never forget you, and thats a fact
As we all say our sad goodbyes.
