Run Away With Me Poem by Braden Patton

Run Away With Me

Rating: 5.0

I’ll stand in the rain and call out your name,
I’ll hope and pray its not in vain.
I’ll devote myself to your steady breath,
and hold you close to my heavy chest.

If you were mine, I’d scream aloud,
If you were mine, I’d never fall down.
If you were mine, you’d be free,
To hug and dance and sing with me.

I’d hold you up high,
I’d never say good-bye.
Even though I can be shy,
I promise you’d feel like you could fly.

Let’s come together and be free,
Lets hope we never have to leave.
Lets build this dream and come to be,
All you have to do is
Run away with me,
Don’t hesitate, I’ll lead you out.
Come away with me,
we’d be free to laugh or shout.
Go away with me,
Let’s fabricate this dream,
Just run away with me,
And please don’t ever leave.
