Roses And Outlaws Poem by Cheryl McDonnell

Roses And Outlaws

Kiss me quick, don't shy
Inside me a thousand horses die
Thrown overboard not enough time
Tame this lion, sing his rhyme

I'm trying on your crown
Jewels spilintered all around
Dancing like a circus act gone wild
Rain carrying my soul into the tiles

Chaos embraces his arms
Lost among my swollen charms
Spending too long under water
Rising against the subliminal slaughter

Picture me on a postcard
Too many things were to hard
We're spent up and going home
I'll come back though for my throne.
