Rock Of Love Poem by Jeri Martindale

Rock Of Love

You are the rock
that never moves
from my soul.

Not fragile,
with strong edges,
yet smooth so my
love can flow
all over you,

The foundation of
our love forever.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My bff for 17 years needed me the day I wrote this. Her husband always gets her heart shaped rocks for her birthday. They were going on a weekend marraige retreat and she found a card with three hearts on it and wanted a poem to write in it that symbolized the heart shaped rocks he gives her year after year. This poem was the result.
