Rock Poem by Aileen Figueroa

Rock

Rating: 5.0

Rock, where are you Rock?
Where have you gone?
Don't you see I need you Rock?
Tell me where shall I go?
Where shall I hide?
If indeed there such a place.

Do, I run to the highest mountains?
Touch the skies, with my fingertips?
Shall I allow the stars of the night
to kiss my shoulders gently
with its celestial lights?

Rock, where are you Rock?
Shall, I run down to the ocean?
Fight against the current?
Seek you out,
in the bottom of the sea?
Look in lands,
where many rocks move,
no more.

Tell me, how to reach you Rock?
My divine powerful Rock,
my strength.
I still have ways to go,
in my prayers.
With each phase taken,
with each pronoun whispered
I bare them all,
on my naked knees.

Come Rock,
let us quarrel no more.
For you know me well.
I need to feel once again.
Breathe in the electrical air,
you provided my soul with.
Don't you see I need you, Rock?
Come and let's reconcile.
Let us depart no more.
Let us continue our
consistency together.
Here and ever after
Your horizon.
