Right Or Wrong? Poem by Tiffani Williams

Right Or Wrong?

This deadly game of right and wrong
it's roads twist run, and collide into each other
confusion and a heavy consciene make you blink your eyes
heavy on your shoulders, it whispers, beggingly,
'please you dont have to lie'
the easier road encourages a dishonest tale
it looks so clear but the eye can only see so far
who knows where it leads?
the other path has so many obstacles, its not worn.
you know up ahead theres a clear road there
but is it worth it?
the decision means so much
too much
you need time to think
but its all run out, you have to make it now
Will you sink or swim?
You decide.
out slips that 1st 'white lie'
but then that lie
morphes into a deranged sea
bubbling under the surface
craving more and you're feeding it
a lie to cover a lie
its as if you're throwing a grain of sand
trying to dry up this ocean
but somewhere between trying to do right
it vaporizes to wrong
becoming a rivers worth of water
creating, adding, buliding
up this problem
but this is the road you took.
