Reverberating Silence Poem by Dr. Madan Gandhi

Before space and time
any stir of creation
any wave of vibration
any star and universe

Eternal silence reigned
in the ethereal sky
Aum was the only sound
emanating from silent ground

Light of Love pervaded all existence
its rising bliss waves
dispelling darkness of ignorance
rousing all creation to a happy cheer

Love’s attractive pull gathered all elements
for a cataclysmic dance of electrons
the dance of creation and destruction
mirroring implosion of big bang

Seated in centre Om, the soundless sound,
begins the orchestra to conjure up stars and universes
enacting live shows of life-forms of infinite names and colours
in amphitheatres materialized in heaven’s countless spheres

The same grand carnival seen rehearsed in every heart
with soul silently witnessing the cavalcade
having the same turmoil and commotion
of the reverberating peace of silence unheard.
